Global Food Patterns

1. Working with the other people studying this unit, you need to choose one of the following:

• food security index
• the hunger index,
• calories per person/capita,
• indicators of malnutrition

Your task is to:

• find out a graphic to represent the global pattern
• describe the global pattern
• explain the patterns you see

This will need to be done in a shared document. You will share your findings with the your unit peers.

3. Build a shared table to identify the pros and cons of each indicator.

4. Explain the 'nutrition transition' and it's importance.
