Ageing Population

Objective: explore global population trends and policies to address them

Outcomes:

Starter: describe the population projection you can see plotted here...

Task: the classroom is going to become a resource for understanding population trends. You will:

- be allocated one of the aspect of population from the site below

- will open this aspect on your laptop

- will then go around and take notes on the trends you notice about each aspect displayed on yours and other laptops in the room

- decide which of all the aspects / trends are the most pressing issue for the world to deal with

- stand by the laptop which shows that trend

1. Define ageing population and find a population pyramid for a country of your choice that shows this situation. Annotate a screen shot to describe it.
