Starter: which SDG is this?

Tasks:

1. Define gender equality.

2. Identify an example of gender INequality and makes notes under the following headings:

• outline the issue
• causes of the issue
• effects of the issue
• who is affected
• action being taken to address the issue.

3. Look at the SDG for Gender equality. Identify two targets / indicators;

• one that you think is easily achievable
• one that you think is difficult to achieve

For both, explain your perspective.

4. Look at the progress made in 2016 and 2017. Evaluate this progress - what is impressive, what needs to be done.
