Objective: create a case study on empowerment and affirmative action.

Outcomes:

Starter: who were they and what did they want?

1. Define the following key terms:

a) empowerment

b) affirmative action

2. You will build an infographic on the empowerment of a group of your choice.

Your infographic needs to contain:

1. Brief history of the group of your choice - why have they been disempowered historically? where is this happening?
2. Statistics on the current situation - what level of empowerment exists? What are the experiences of the group?
3. Action taken to address the issues, including examples of affirmative action and progress resulting from the action taken.
4. The future for empowerment of this group, in your opinion.
