Objective: create a Venn diagram that shows the contrasting role of Civil Society in global interactions.

Starter: what links these pictures?

1. The role of local and civil society in global interactions can be catagorised as follows;

Resistance e.g.

• rejection of globalized production, including campaigns against TNCs and in favour of local sourcing of food and goods by citizens

• rise of anti-immigration movements

Promotion e.g.

• social media use and campaigning for internet freedom
• challenging restricted freedoms

You will be allocated one of these aspects to construct a class venn, as seen below.
